1. Information we collect
- Account data: the email address you register with — used for sign-in, account identification, and contacting you if a payment fails or the service changes.
- Study data: your practice progress, answer records, and wrong-answer book. Stored under your account to sync progress across devices and to generate your wrong-answer book.
- Analytics: we use Umami to count page views. It uses no cookies, does not build cross-site profiles, and is not used for advertising. It records how many times a page was viewed and where the visit came from (a search result, a shared link, a video, a referral) — not who you are.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We receive only success, amount, your email, and the order reference. We never see or store your card number.
2. Why we collect it
- To provide sign-in, practice, progress sync, the wrong-answer book, and payment — the app cannot function without this data.
- To learn which channels actually bring users, so limited effort goes into what works instead of guesswork.
- For compliance and tax: retaining transaction records as Canadian law requires for filing.
3. What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We never use your study data for advertising or content recommendation.
- We don't collect sensitive personal information (health, ethnicity, religion, financial status). Study progress is not used to identify you.
- We don't build marketing profiles unrelated to learning, and we don't track you across other sites.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and study data: kept while your account exists. Deleting the account deletes the data.
- Transaction records: retained as Canadian tax law requires (typically seven years from the transaction).
- Analytics: retained in aggregate and never linked to your account.
5. Your rights
- Access: email us and we will provide your account data.
- Correction: email us and we will fix anything inaccurate.
- Deletion: email us and we will delete your account and all study data. Transaction records are retained as required by law and are not deleted with the account.
- Withdraw consent: at any time. Opting out of analytics does not affect any app feature.
